TERMS AND CONDITIONS

If you register for courses or a language stay, or if you use the website https://www.yalla-araby.com (“the website”) operated by YALLA ARABY (“us,” “we,” or “our”), please read the following terms and conditions (“the terms”) carefully. Your access to and use of the website and your registration for courses or language stays are conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with the terms described here.
Before registering
To learn more about our online courses, language stays, and face-to-face courses in Egypt, book a free info chat with our coordinator on our website; to learn more about our classes in Switzerland, book a free info chat on our website or contact us for a personal meeting with our staff.
Registration
For online or face-to-face courses, you have to fill in the registration form on our website and conclude the payment for the first course by following the payment instructions received after the registration. Clients deciding on a language stay or trip in Egypt should register by sending us a signed copy of the program and terms received following the info chat.
Courses begin.
Following registration for face-to-face or online courses via our online registration file and after having made the payment, Yalla Araby will get back to you to confirm the requested schedule and the date of the first lesson. Whether in individual or group classes, or a combination of both, the main teacher will be allocated to each student. Face-to-face lessons in Switzerland are held in our teaching studio in the old city of Bern, or at the work or home of students in Bern or elsewhere. Face-to-face lessons and classes during language stay in Egypt are provided at home, work or study places in Cairo or Alexandria in combination with practical application sessions in the city.
Following registration for online courses and completion of payment, students will receive the schedule and the date of the first lesson, including the link leading to the teaching platform and technical instruction.
Continuation/renewal of courses
To continue with lessons after the end of a face-to-face or online course, the student has to re-register for the next course and complete the next term’s payment.
Duration of courses:
Online courses last ten weeks and consist of 10, 20, or 30 individual or group classes every 60 minutes, depending on the package booked; b) Face-to-Face courses last ten weeks and consist of 10, 20, or 30 lessons, each lasting 60 minutes in groups or private classes, depending on the package booked; c) language stays are fixed according to the client’s wish and agreement. There are three different weekly lesson plans: a) full-time: 4 hours per day, 5 days per week; additional cultural tours and visits can be scheduled based on personal preferences. b) part-time: 2 hours per day, 2 days per week; additional cultural tours and visits can be scheduled based on personal preferences. c) Flextime: several numbers of hours fixed according to need; additional cultural tours and visits can be booked based on personal preferences. Language camps (twice per year) last for two weeks and consist of 4 hours per day. They are completed with group excursions and practical lessons every 5 days a week.
Payment, refund, and making up of lessons:
a)Online courses: Payment is by course of ten weeks (See packages and prices on the website; note that the headmaster’s rate for online classes is higher, namely €50 per lesson per person and €40 per person in a (group)and is due one week before the course starts. A full refund may be requested within three days of payment. Should a student not be able to attend the scheduled lessons, those lessons will be made up if the absence is announced 48 hours before?. After that, it will not be possible to make up classes. b) Face-to-face lessons in Switzerland and Egypt: Payment is made over ten weeks and is due one week before the course begins, either by bank transfer, post-transfer, or credit card. A full refund may be requested within 3 days of having made the payment. Should a student not be able to attend the scheduled lessons. They will be made up if the absence is announced 48 hours before. After that, it will not be possible to make up classes. c) Language stays and camps: after returning a signed copy of the program and terms, the client will be sent an invoice that must be paid within thirty days, or by the 20th day of the trip at the very latest. In case of cancellation by the client, 100% will be refunded until one month before the start of the trip and 50% until two weeks before the trip. If the cancellation is announced less than two weeks before the trip, refunding is impossible. In the event of a cancellation by Yalla Araby, the client will be fully refunded.
Proprietary Rights
All content and materials available on this website are protected by proprietary rights and laws and can only be used if explicitly authorized by Yalla Araby. Material and content provided in our online and face-to-face classes in Egypt and Switzerland, as well as during language stays and camps in Egypt, are protected by our proprietary rights and can only be used if explicitly authorized by those of a third party or us, whose rights policy is applicable in this case.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for any third-party websites or services’ content, privacy policies, or practices. You also acknowledge and agree that we will not be liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such websites or services. We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services that you visit.

All materials and content on this website are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the content is accurate or correct, and/or that this website is available in any place and/or at any time, or that the content is free of harmful components. Yalla Araby is not liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, or consequential damage resulting from the use of, or inability to use, this website.
Indemnification
Yalla Araby and its employees are held harmlessly from all liabilities, claims, and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, that arise from your use or misuse of this website. Yalla Araby reserves the right to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. A failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our website and services and supersede and replace any prior agreements.
Changes
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these terms at any time. If a revision is a material, we will try to provide at least 15 days’ notice before any new terms take effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our website after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. Please stop using the website if you do not agree to the new terms.
